Carmelo, originally from Sicily in Italy, graduated with B.Sc. (Honours) Degree in Osteopathy from the British School of Osteopathy in London – the oldest and the most renowned of the osteopathic schools in Europe.
Carmelo has worked in private practice in London, Christchurch (NZ) and Sydney before moving to Brisbane where he completed a Master Degree in Physiotherapy from the University of Queensland. He has over 20 years experience in the industry.
Carmelo combines a wide range of physiotherapy and osteopathic techniques to aid recovery and rehabilitation from all forms of musculoskeletal conditions. He works through the neuro-musculo-skeletal system, mostly on muscles and joints, using holistic and patient-centred approach.
He uses manual and electrotherapy therapies and exercise programs to relieve the symptoms of a wide range of conditions including:
General, acute and chronic backache
Headache arising from the neck
Shoulder and elbow pain
Sports and workplace injuries
Rehabilitation after surgery
