What is Life Coaching?

Life Coaching has been a therapy of sorts for many years. The industry of coaching rapidly
grew following the Great Depression, with the outcome of many effected by this tragedy, to
translate ‘opportunity’ to meaningful and quantitative ‘How to…’ books that educated many
and gave rise to the concept of ‘making the most of whatever life dealt’ in the face of
adversity.

More recently, practical and purposeful processes have been developed with supported
elements of academia in the areas of psychology, neuro linguistic programming (NLP),
spirituality, emotional intelligence, as pro-active functions that enables the enhancement of people’s lives.

Today, Life Coaching is defined as a forward focused process that

life coachingexplores one’s current situation with a vision of attaining future goals.

We do this by identifying certain pain points, challenges and limiting beliefs – the things that
are holding you back, and aim to change that by designing measurable success strategies.

Using a unique, tailored, holistic approach, a Life Coach will act as an action orientated
mentor to tap into the present moment, set realistic goals and strategies to help you break
habits that might stifling you, to achieve your innermost goals and aspirations, with
supportive encouragement and accountability along the way.
